Free toolFlipkart Image Size & ResizerFlipkart's detailed catalog guidelines live inside Seller Hub, and they differ by category. The rules below are the general image rules as published in the Flipkart listing FAQ of Fynd, a Flipkart integration partner, plus the template PsyDox uses. Always confirm your category's rules in Seller Hub, especially for fashion.
Size, format and count
| Rule | Flipkart listing FAQ |
|---|---|
| Size | 1000 × 1000 px is the preferred dimension |
| Format | JPEG only |
| Number of images | at least 2 and at most 5, depending on category |
| Background | the primary image on white; white or light grey is listed for images |
PsyDox's Flipkart template is a 1000 × 1000 px JPEG on pure white, with the product filling most of the frame.
What gets images rejected
- Text or watermarks anywhere on the image.
- Price tags, stickers or product tags left on the product.
- Props: show the product on its own.
- Ratings, or comparisons with other brands.
- Edited celebrity images.
- Cropped, stretched or extended products: the whole product, at its real proportions.
- Blur: blurred or pixelated images, or any part of the product out of focus.
- Anything offensive or objectionable.
Practical tips
- Shoot the primary image on white, or replace the background afterwards.
- Keep the product's proportions: fit it into the square instead of stretching it.
- Remove price stickers and tags before you shoot; they're much harder to remove later.
- Use the other image slots for the back, sides, close-ups and the product in use.
